Included with our services are all the set-up, sorting, research, pricing, floor workers, photos on throughthedecades.com and internet advertising. At this time we do not include or offer any housecleaning service or lawn/landscape upkeep or snow removal service. We can connect you with a donation service for the pick-up of items not sold that are deemed acceptable donations or connect you with a clean out service to come at an additional charge (for clean out service).
Our fee for Estate Sales is a percentage of the monies collected from the personal property sold at the estate sale. In most instances, we will need around 2 weeks of full prior access for an estate sale to prepare and set up. Some larger estates will need more time. We will supply folding tables, tablecloths and displays where needed. When needed we will use small display cases for smaller valuables.
The number of sale days vary from 2-4 days depending on the size of the estate. On the days of the sale, we use a number system which limits the number of shoppers within the house at once. Floor workers are present to help shoppers, answer questions, and to generally just keep an open eye.
After the sale we would normally need up to 5 business days to process all monies taken in from the sale. At that point, we deduct our fee and turn the rest of the monies over to you.
Prior to even calling or making email inquiries about a sale, we ask that you do not throw away or get rid of any unwanted items or items you may consider "junk". Remember the old saying "one persons junk is another persons treasure"! We find this to be very true in some cases!

Contact us We do a walk through of the estate to view and talk with you to understand your needs. If we can help you with your needs, we select sale dates, sign a Through The Decades Estate Sale contract. You would then give us the key/full access to the house prior to the sale and we begin our work!
